Chicago: The Musical
This project for my Type Plus class focused on logotype and how different elements of design help build it up and create a narrative. I was required to design a logotype, poster, shirt, and ticket for a musical of my choosing. I chose the Chicago musical because I really liked the music and visual aesthetic of the stage performance. The show is a satirical commentary focused on the corruption of the American judicial system set in the 1920s. I knew right away that I wanted to experiment with the smoke and haze that is often associated with the jazz age.
